/
project manager who is interested in managing a variety of civil site improvement/infrastructure projects. Firwood Design Group is a team driven positive work environment that promotes integrity and excellence in our work.
- Have experience in Project Management of public works and site development projects and have an attitude of ownership of their work
- Capable of multi-tasking on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Cultivate client satisfaction in their work and are comfortable building relationships with clients
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Display a positive and professional attitude with a high level of integrity
- Are self-motivated, outgoing individuals who excel when working alongside other team members and clients
- 7-10 years of experience in civil design/ project management
- Possess a valid Oregon Professional Engineers License
- Proficient with AutoCAD C3D and Microsoft Office
- Plan, administer, and design civil projects (public and private)
- Manage design staff and projects
- Attend meetings, site visits, and coordinate with the client and multi-disciplinary design team.
- Compiling and submit drawing package
- Finish assignments as necessary to complete projects
- Manage project budgets, schedules and provide regular reports
- Provides thorough on-going QA/QC review of deliverables
- Cultivate relationships with Clients and assist in bring in new projects
- Prepares and manages project correspondence and documentation
- Tabulates bid items and calculates construction bid quantities from plans and specifications. Develops cost estimates.
- 7+ years of experience in site development design
- BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent (required)
- Oregon or Washington Civil Engineer’s license (Preferred)
- Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Advanced skills with Civil 3D
- Effective written and oral communication skills including proposal and report writing
- Ability to work quickly, manage multiple and conflicting deadlines, and establish priorities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Comfortable networking with clients and colleagues to develop and maintain professional relationships
- Personal responsibility for completing quality work within budgets and timelines
- Knowledge and familiarity with local codes and agency standards
- Possess solid time management, and follow-through skills
- Proven ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
