Career Systems Development Corporation (CSD) seeks an Overnight Security Officer/Driver to help protect students, staff, and property at a Job Corps campus in the Educational Services sector. In this on-site role, you will patrol facilities, monitor access, and respond to incidents during overnight hours while safely transporting students or staff in a company vehicle as needed. You will complete incident reports, support campus rules, and assist in emergencies.
Working within CSD's mission-driven, student-centered culture, you'll promote a respectful, structured environment that supports young adults' safety and success.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol campus facilities during overnight hours to ensure safety and security of students and staff
- Operate a company vehicle to transport students, staff, or materials as needed following all traffic and safety laws
- Control access to buildings, verify identification, and respond to alarms or suspicious activity
- Document incidents, complete security and transport reports, and communicate with supervisors and staff
- Support enforcement of campus rules and Job Corps policies in a calm and professional manner
- Assist in emergency situations, including evacuations, medical incidents, or conflicts, following established protocols
- Conduct perimeter checks, lock/unlock designated areas, and inspect for safety hazards
- Use radios, cameras, and other security systems to maintain situational awareness
- Provide courteous, student-centered customer service while maintaining firm boundaries
- Collaborate with CSD teams to support a structured, respectful, and inclusive residential environment
