Doctoral candidates who are ABD and near graduation will also be considered.
If hired, the candidate will be responsible for teaching 12 credit hours per semester (4/4 teaching load) in a combination of face-to-face and online undergraduate courses focused on forensic investigation, anthropological methods, osteology, and other advanced subjects appropriate to their expertise. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to use equipment at the University's Center for Materials and Manufacturing, as well as in a new forensic laboratory space that includes an active dermestid beetle colony.
We highly encourage applicants whose research specializes in any of the following areas, including, but not limited to: forensic archaeology, forensic anthropology, forensic entomology, etc. The successful candidate will maintain an active research agenda, mentor and advise students, and provide service to the department, university, and community. The successful candidate will also support the growth of the Forensic Science program and related laboratory spaces.
Forensic casework experience and progress towards board certification is preferred.
