Overview
The Student Support and Engagement Coach will provide student support services to undergraduate business students in the Sorrell College of Business, with a strong focus on improving student retention and progression. This position serves as a departmental advising expert and assists students with academic planning and career development throughout their degree program. This position will also serve as the international student program coordinator for the Sorrell College of Business (in coordination with the Troy University International Programs Office), providing academic and cultural advising primarily to Chinese students in the 1+2+1 Sino-American dual-degree program.
The position will deliver orientation instruction for the International Cohort program at partner institutions in China and assist with recruitment, family engagement, and the student transfer process. Chinese language proficiency is required, along with strong communication, organizational, cross-cultural advising, and international student support skills.

Minimum Qualifications- Graduate degree in an appropriate academic discipline or applied research area from an AACSB-accredited institution.
- Chinese language proficiency required to support student recruitment, communicate effectively with Chinese students and their families, and provide academic and cultural advising for students participating in international partnership programs.
Will this position require driving (personal vehicle, university vehicle, utility vehicle, or golf cart) in order to perform the job duties?
Driving may be necessary but is not a primary responsibility.
