Job Summary
The Assistant Professor position in Carr School of Accountancy is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the Sorrell College of Business. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate accounting courses, engaging in scholarly activities, mentoring faculty, advising students, committing to service to the University and community, and performing other duties as designated by the Director of the Carr School of Accountancy and the Dean of the Sorrell College of Business.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses
- Engage in scholarly activities, including publishing research and presenting at conferences
- Mentor faculty and students
- Advise students on academic matters
- Commit to service to the University and community
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department leadership

Work StatusFull-time, tenure-track; no temporary or part-time status
Minimum Qualifications- Doctoral degree in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited university (ABD within one year of completion acceptable)
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching
- Demonstrated potential to perform high-quality accounting research
- Certified Public Accountant
- Specialization in any accounting area
Driving may be required but is not a primary responsibility.
