Lecturer/Assistant/Associate Professor

The College of Education at Troy University is seeking candidates for a full-time Lecturer/Assistant/Associate Professor (dependent on experience) position in the graduate-level Adult Education Program. This position will be housed in the Leadership Development & Professional Studies Department. Responsibilities include teaching and advising graduate students; developing partnerships and collaborating with community colleges, military, & business industry; maintaining open communication with partners, faculty, staff, & administration;

and other duties and responsibilities as identified by the departmental leadership. The Lecturer/Assistant/Associate Professor position in Leadership Development and Professional Studies is responsible for teaching, advising, conducting research, providing university and community service, and participating in departmental, college, and university committees and activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Earned doctorate or terminal degree in Adult Education, Occupational Education, Workforce Education, or related field from a regionally accredited university.
2. Experience in employing a variety of instructional strategies in an online environment.
3. Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
4. Highly motivated and self-driven with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
5. Ability to teach in an assigned content area related to the adult education program.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Demonstrated excellence in teaching adults in online learning environments.
2. Demonstrated track record of establishing and maintaining workforce development partnerships.
3. Demonstrated experience teaching adults instructional design and current technology skills.

Driving may be necessary but is not a primary responsibility. Work hours are based on teaching schedule and departmental needs. No hazardous conditions or physical demands required by this position. No supervisory responsibility.
