The Automated Test Equipment Engineering Manager will be responsible for recurring support to test systems on the Air Dominance program located in Troy, AL. This includes test failure resolution, improvements to test equipment hardware and software, test time reduction and test system maturation. This is a first‑line management role with 10‑15 direct reports.

• Managing a team of test engineers, including recruitment, selection, training, performance assessment, and career development.
• Communicating technical status and issues internally to program and functional leadership, as well as externally to customers.
• Supporting Program Status Reviews (PSRs) & Design Assurance Reviews (DARs).
• Supporting test equipment hardware and software upgrades as needed.
• Analyzing failures associated with test equipment and providing recommended solutions.
• Collaborating with production teams and suppliers to maintain test equipment uptime and support troubleshooting.
• Working closely with the technical leads on program to ensure appropriate staffing and resources and ensuring reviews are conducted to guarantee engineering excellence.
• Developing and implementing process improvements to increase test efficiency and effectiveness.
• Overseeing engineers who perform integration and testing activities.
• Coordinating with various groups to ensure program requirements are met and supporting various test activities.
• Collecting feedback, providing performance appraisals and identifying training development for direct reports.
• Developing/maintaining knowledge continuity plans for key resources.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have a final secret clearance to start.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree with 10 or more years of experience.
• Previous experience as a formal leader, project lead, or technical lead.
• Automated Test Equipment technical knowledge and proficiency.
• Previous experience managing or supporting project budgets and proposals.
• You must have a Final Secret Clearance to be considered for this position.

• Familiarity with design, integration, analysis, verification, and validation activities.
• Familiarity with RF Chambers, Radar concepts, and Flight Hardware.
• Experience performing proposal/BOE development and man‑power estimation.
• Experience with MS Project.
• Control Account Management (CAM) experience.
