Basic Qualifications
Degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline at the Bachelor’s level and 5+ years production test experience, or 3+ years production test experience with a related Master’s degree, or 9 years of related professional experience.
Experience reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, specifications and schematics.
Experience conducting detailed failure analysis to determine root cause and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist selected candidate with obtaining an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting. Additionally, the candidate must be able to pass an ATF background check to obtain “employee possessor” status for explosives or other ATF-regulated items. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.
Job DescriptionYou will be the Senior Production Test Engineer (Missile Assembly) (ATE) for the Missile Assembly team. Our team is responsible for developing and implementing automated test equipment, manufacturing test planning, and electro‑mechanical integration to support Production Operations at Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control in Troy, Alabama. This role works the 1st shift (Tuesday–Friday).
Responsibilities- Support the development of automated test equipment and manufacturing test planning.
- Prepare test procedures from engineering and conduct detailed failure analysis.
- Evaluate electrical test results and develop root‑cause and corrective/preventive actions.
- Utilize statistical data analysis for trend analysis and troubleshoot test anomalies.
- Interpret engineering data and support electro‑mechanical integration.
This position is located in Troy, Alabama.
Security Clearance RequirementCandidate must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance to start.
Desired Skills- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Experience with electronic circuits, automated test software, manufacturing test in a production environment, interpreting engineering requirements, evaluating electrical test results, detailed failure analysis, root cause and corrective/preventive actions, statistical data analysis for trend analysis.
- Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment and RF testing methodologies.
- Programming experience with C, C#, C++, Visual C, Visual Basic, National Instruments Lab-Windows CVI, Test-Stand, and NI LabVIEW.
- Hands‑on assembly/disassembly/troubleshooting skills of mechanical, electrical, industrial and/or home equipment.
- Familiarity with manufacturing software DELMIA Apriso MEP, SAP ERP in a manufacturing environment.
