* You will be the Quality Engineer for the Quality Assurance team  Our team is responsible for implementing and developing quality principles to ensure the highest standards of product and process quality

** What You Will Be Doing*
* As the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for investigating non‑conformance issues, driving continuous improvement, and partnering with cross‑functional teams to embed quality standards

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

+ Interface with Production, Program Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering personnel

+ Investigate and resolve non‑conformance issues through root‑cause analysis and corrective action

+ Conduct audits, assessments, and technical evaluations to verify compliance with quality standards

+ Collaborate with program management, engineering, supply chain, and customers on quality‑related matters

+ Develop and implement strategies to improve internal and supplier performance and productivity

MUST BE A U S  CITIZEN   This position is located at a facility that requires special access

* Basic Qualifications:

*
* Bachelors degree or higher in a STEM related discipline or equivalent education and experience

Two or more years of related experience with a bachelor's degree

Must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance and must have at least an interim secret clearance to start

2 years of quality manufacturing experience

 Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives  "ATF"  background check to obtain approval to be an "employee possessor"  of explosives or other ATF regulated items  as defined by ATF regulations  Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment

** Desired

Skills:

* Experience with MS Office applications:
Word, Excel & Power Point  

Lean Six Sigma/Green Belt or higher certification

SAP experience a plus

Minimum 3 0 GPA

Mechanical or industrial engineering degree  Or Engineering degree in related, technical field

VBA coding skills   Excel

Strong Microsoft Office skills  Excel, PowerPoint, etc   

Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance  GD&T  

Quality discipline internship or DoD Industry internship

Ability to work with a team in a fast paced environment
