Job Overview
As the Manufacturing Process Engineering Intern you will develop hands‑on Production Engineering skills that include ordnance handling, mechanical assembly, electronic testing, technical writing, teaming, and continuous improvement techniques.
Develop the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings & specifications, help develop special tooling, troubleshoot unique factory equipment, and become familiar with factory automation and industrial processes.
Responsibilities- Develop hands‑on production engineering skills including ordnance handling, mechanical assembly, electronic testing, technical writing, teaming, and continuous improvement techniques.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings & specs, help develop special tooling, troubleshoot unique factory equipment, and become familiar with factory automation and industrial processes.
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Prefer Electrical Engineering from an accredited college.
- Must be a US Citizen; required government security clearance and ATF background check; local candidates only.
- Familiarity with bench‑top electronic test equipment, manufacturing assembly and test methods, industrial processes, factory automation, software programming, electrical troubleshooting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team‑based environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.
Internship DetailsLocation:
Troy, Alabama. Onsite. Internship begins August 2026 and runs for one year.
Work schedule:
Part‑time, up to 20 hours per week during the school year and 20 hours or less during summer, as assigned by manager.
