Description
You will be the Production Test Engineer (Missile Assembly) (ATE) for the Missile Assembly team. Our team is responsible for developing and implementing automated test equipment, manufacturing test planning, and electro‑mechanical integration to support Production Operations at Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Production Test Engineer you will provide technical support to ensure the successful production of missiles. You will play a critical role in developing automated test equipment, preparing detailed test procedures, and troubleshooting test anomalies.
- Supporting the development of automated test equipment and manufacturing test planning.
- Preparing test procedures from engineering data and conducting detailed failure analysis.
- Evaluating electrical test results and developing root‑cause and corrective/preventative actions.
- Utilizing statistical data analysis for trend analysis and performing test‑anomaly troubleshooting and fault resolution.
- Interpreting engineering data and supporting electro‑mechanical integration.
This position is located in Troy, Alabama. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. The position requires special access and a Secret Clearance at the start of employment.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related accredited field.
- Experience in testing and troubleshooting electronic circuits.
- Availability to work all schedules/shifts (first shift, night shift, weekend schedule).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance and pass an ATF background check for possession of explosives.
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and schematics.
- Basic understanding of electronic circuits and use of test equipment such as digital multimeter, oscilloscope, function generator, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, frequency counter, and/or network analyzer.
- Hands‑on assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, industrial, and home equipment.
- Experience with programming languages C, C++, C#, National Instrument’s Lab‑View, Lab‑Windows CVI, and Test‑Stand software.
- Knowledge of general manufacturing processes and strong communication skills.
Onsite, full‑time.
Schedule:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
