Associate Quality Engineer

You will be the Associate Quality Engineer for the Quality Engineering team. Our team is responsible for supporting program and functional quality, interfacing with Production, Program Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering personnel, and driving continuous improvement through audits and corrective actions.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Associate Quality Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring product and process excellence, leading root‑cause investigations, and championing quality improvements across the program.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Interface with Production, Program Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
- Investigate non‑conformance issues and develop corrective actions.
- Conduct hardware quality audits, FOE walk‑downs, and surveillance assessments.
- Lead root‑cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
- Support continuous improvement through audits and process reviews.

- This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim Secret clearance is required to start.
Desired skills:
Minimum 3.0 GPA
-Mechanical or industrial engineering degree. Or Engineering degree in related, technical field.
-VBA coding skills (Excel)
-Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc
-Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
-Quality discipline internship or DoD industry internship.
-Ability to work with a team in a fast paced evironment.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $54,900 - $96,830. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered:

accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
