Job Summary

The Workship position for the Department of Theatre and Dance is responsible for serving as a properties shop assistant, lighting technician and/or scene shop technician, including but not limited to assisting in implementing lighting design or scenic design, set up, operation, and breakdown for sets, props, and/or lighting; and organization and upkeep of current inventory.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a current Troy University student
• Must be a theatre or dance major or minor
• Must have experience in properties, lighting, or sets
• Must have completed lighting techniques and/or technical theatre classes

Preferred Qualifications

Driving may be necessary but is not a primary responsibility

Work Hours

• 10 to 15 hours per week
• Hours will vary

List any hazardous conditions or physical demands required by this position

• Ability to work with some high-heat or high-current tools
• Ability to work with shop equipment (saws, etc.)
