Manufacturing Supervisor - 2nd Shift

• Team Productivity & Safety:
  Lead your team to achieve high productivity levels while maintaining strict adherence to safety, quality, and cost requirements.
• Shift Transition Management:
  Ensure smooth transitions between shifts to maintain uninterrupted operations.
• Timekeeping & Labor Auditing:
  Manage and approve employee timekeeping in SAP, conduct labor audits, and ensure compliance with Sikorsky’s labor reporting and time and attendance procedures.
• Performance Management:
  Drive accountability by managing employee performance through reviews, coaching, training, and, when necessary, disciplinary actions.
• Compliance & Standards Enforcement:
  Ensure adherence to work methods, safety rules, and quality standards, and conduct regular checks to maintain these standards.
• Safety & Housekeeping:
  Uphold Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) regulations, perform necessary equipment upkeep, and promote good housekeeping practices.
• Issue Resolution:
  Investigate discrepancies and coordinate with Operations, Quality, and Engineering Management to resolve issues promptly.
• Budget & Policy Management:
  Manage both direct and indirect budgets while consistently applying and enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Customer Interaction:
  Effectively interface with a variety of internal and external customers to ensure Sikorsky’s commitments are met.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience, particularly in managing hourly employees in a high‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for timekeeping, labor management, and production tracking.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpretation to ensure product conformance.

• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Demonstrated ability to manage conflict, provide constructive feedback, and enforce policies and procedures consistently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with internal and external customers.
• Ability to make sound decisions in a fast‑paced environment, balancing safety, quality, and productivity.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to analyze situations, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Green belt or black belt certification.
• Previous Sikorsky experience.
• Experience leading a union environment.
• Previous aerospace experience.
