The Troy, Alabama plant produces peanut butter, with annual production of approximately 78 million pounds. The site supports a team of more than 130 manufacturing and support employees.

ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:
Labeler/Capper/Filler Operators run high speed automated packaging equipment and manage all aspects of the packaging line. They verify usage of correct packaging materials & date codes, monitor the function of case sealers, and are responsible for ensuring that our products are packaged according to quality and safety standards. This position plays an integral role in ensuring our product looks fantastic in its packaging.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operates packaging equipment according to product specifications and ensuring accuracy. Adjusts machines as required
- Maintains proper documentation. Performs minor repairs and routine maintenance work on equipment. Able to correctly perform change overs on equipment.
- Continually checks the quality of the product, packaging, and case printing. Reports any issues or concerns
- Inspect and conducts regular deep cleaning of equipment after each product change, and continuously maintains cleanliness of equipment
- Operates in accordance with health, safety and fire prevention regulations and practices.
- Report machine problems to the shift supervisor/lead and ensure machine logs are accurately filled out, detailing mechanical and non-mechanical downtime. Fill out work order requests as needed to ensure appropriate machine uptime
- QUALITY - Responsible for maintaining quality parameters for areas of responsibility.
- FOOD SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Will follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements. Will support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF Systems. - Other duties, as assigned
Education and Experience
Required:
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
Preferred Education, Experience, and
Skills:
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Mechanical aptitude to repair equipment
