The RN, under the supervision of the Nurse Team Leader, is responsible for the nursing care of assigned patients and directs others in patient care.

The RN will deliver care based on patient needs appropriate for the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, or geriatric patient while demonstrating an interest in a patient-centered approach to total nursing care. The ICU Registered Nurse must demonstrate cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness when dealing with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel while utilizing the six steps of the nursing process including Assessment, Nursing Diagnosis, Identification of Patient Outcomes, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation.
