Travel/Contract Charge RN
Travel/Contract Charge RN for a 13-week Med/Surg assignment near Troy, Alabama. Responsible for leading a medical-surgical unit, delivering high-quality nursing care to adult patients, and coordinating care across multidisciplinary teams. Offers competitive weekly compensation up to $2,160 based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide safe, compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients.
- Serve as Charge RN, coordinating patient care and supporting daily unit operations.
- Supervise and collaborate with nursing staff to promote efficient patient care delivery.
- Assess patients, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility policies.
- Monitor patient conditions and recognize changes requiring prompt intervention.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, ancillary staff, patients, and families.
- Delegate nursing responsibilities appropriately while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and care coordination.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation per facility requirements.
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance standards.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing team members during assigned shifts.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Alabama.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous Med/Surg nursing experience required.
- Strong medical-surgical clinical skills required.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Strong assessment, communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills.
Skills:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Previous Charge RN or nursing leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Experience coordinating care and delegating assignments in an inpatient setting preferred.
