Travel/Contract Charge RN for a 13-week Med/Surg assignment near Troy, Alabama. Responsible for leading a medical-surgical unit, delivering high-quality nursing care to adult patients, and coordinating care across multidisciplinary teams. Offers competitive weekly compensation up to $2,160 based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:Provide safe, compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients.
Serve as Charge RN, coordinating patient care and supporting daily unit operations.
Supervise and collaborate with nursing staff to promote efficient patient care delivery.
Assess patients, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility policies.
Monitor patient conditions and recognize changes requiring prompt intervention.
Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, ancillary staff, patients, and families.
Delegate nursing responsibilities appropriately while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes.
Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and care coordination.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation per facility requirements.
Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance standards.
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing team members during assigned shifts.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Alabama.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Previous Med/Surg nursing experience required.
Strong medical-surgical clinical skills required.
Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Strong assessment, communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills.
Skills:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Previous Charge RN or nursing leadership experience strongly preferred.
Experience coordinating care and delegating assignments in an inpatient setting preferred.
You hold an active RN license in Alabama. You have Med/Surg experience and BLS certification. You can lead a unit as Charge RN
