Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or combined equivalent experience.

  • At least 5 years in a quality assurance/inspection role within aerospace, defense, or high‑tech manufacturing.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or lead experience.
Responsibilities
  • Direct daily activities of the quality team (assignments, coaching, performance reviews).
  • Foster a culture of quality, safety, and accountability.
  • Mentor staff on problem solving and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Oversee incoming, in‑process, and final inspections using calibrated equipment.
  • Ensure test plans, work instructions, and inspection criteria are current and adhered to.
  • Review and approve non‑conformance reports (NCRs) and disposition decisions.
  • Monitor adherence to AS9100, ISO 9001, and other pertinent standards.
  • Conduct internal audits and support external audits (e.g., NIST, DoD).
  • Maintain traceability records, configuration management, and document control.
  • Lead corrective and preventive action activities; drive root‑cause investigations.
  • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives to reduce waste and improve yield.
  • Track key quality metrics (PPM, scrap rate, on‑time delivery) and report trends to senior management.
  • Interface with customers on quality issues, product acceptance, and warranty claims.
  • Evaluate supplier quality performance; participate in supplier audits and corrective action implementation.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on inspection techniques, quality tools, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure team maintains required certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer, ASQ) and enforce compliance with safety and environmental policies during all quality activities.
  • Participate in safety committees and incident investigations as required.

  • Dynamic and results‑oriented professional with passion for operational excellence and production optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills and effective communication across departments.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional teams and influencing without direct authority.
  • Proficient in coaching, conflict‑resolution, and communication.
  • Skilled in root‑cause analysis methods (5

  • Ability to interpret data, generate actionable insights, and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and DoD specifications.
  • Capacity to manage complex projects while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
Location

Onsite full‑time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
