You will be the Quality Engineer for the Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) team. Our team is responsible for embedding rigorous quality standards into the manufacturing process, developing work instructions, and ensuring that every product meets Lockheed Martin's high‑performance expectations.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for providing hands‑on quality engineering support to the JASSM/LRASM program, developing and maintaining inspection methods, and driving continuous improvement across the Troy facility.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Developing, modifying, and maintaining work instructions, evaluation, and control systems for processing materials into finished products.
- Designing and analyzing inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; performing statistical analysis on non‑conforming parts.
- Conducting audits, hardware quality audits (HQAs), and foreign object elimination (FOE) walk‑downs to identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborating with Production, Program Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure compliance and reliability.
- Investigating non‑conformance issues through root‑cause analysis and driving preventive measures.

Troy, Alabama is located in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troy's climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters. Troy is a great place to live offering lots of things to do and has a small-town charm. Troy is also a college town and is home to Troy University.
Where can you get to from Troy? Our facility in Troy is just under an hour south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troy is about 2.5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Florida's Pan Handle. Troy is about three hours from Atlanta, GA.

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
