Millwright Mechanic
We are seeking a skilled Millwright Mechanic to support equipment repairs, crane and conveyor systems repair and maintenance, and a variety of mechanical projects across multiple job sites. This role involves installing, assembling, aligning, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment and overhead cranes while working both indoors and outdoors in dynamic environments. The individual will manage multiple projects simultaneously, collaborate with project teams, and ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Light travel is required, and candidates must be comfortable working at extreme heights, in varying weather conditions, and in physically demanding settings while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, align, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment and overhead cranes.
- Support equipment repairs and maintenance for crane and conveyor systems.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure efficient completion of mechanical projects.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Work both indoors and outdoors, sometimes at extreme heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Maintain strong focus on safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), fall protection, and rigging practices.
Essential Skills
- Electrical and mechanical repair skills.
- Proficiency in hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience with installation, preventive maintenance, and field service.
- Hands-on experience inspecting, repairing, and maintaining overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Millwright Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic, or similar role in industrial or construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and varying outdoor weather conditions.
- OSHA certification or safety training preferred.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and performing repetitive tasks.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
- Willingness to travel lightly as needed for project support.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, AL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
