SR Precision Holdings LLC is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer / Machinist with strong Mastercam skills and a background in precision tooling. The ideal candidate has worked in a tool and die shop, mold making environment or a high-precision job-shop environment and is comfortable programming, setting up, troubleshooting, and producing complex parts with tight tolerances.

If you are already a top-level machinist and want complex work, a clean modern shop, a stable first-shift schedule, and a company that values craftsmanship, we want to talk with you.

What You Will Own
  • Program CNC lathes in Mastercam, including toolpath creation, process planning, and program optimization.
  • Set up and machine complex, tight-tolerance components used in blow mold tooling, molds, dies, gaging, and precision manufacturing.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, technical drawings, and customer specifications to determine the best machining approach.
  • Select tooling, work holding, speeds, feeds, and cutting strategies appropriate for the material, geometry, tolerance, and finish requirements.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make sound adjustments to programs, tooling, offsets, feeds, and speeds.
  • Inspect your own work using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
  • Work closely with engineering, quality, and other machinists to improve manufacturability, reduce cycle time, and solve difficult machining challenges.
What We Are Looking For
  • Strong hands-on Mastercam lathe programming experience - required.
  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience preferred, with meaningful time spent programming and setting up CNC lathes.
  • Experience in blow mold tooling, tool and die, mold making, precision tooling, or similar low-volume / high-complexity machining strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work from a print and independently develop a reliable machining process rather than simply run an established production job.
  • Strong understanding of cutting tools, work holding, materials, tolerances, surface finishes, machining fundamentals, and in-process inspection.
  • A craftsmanship mindset: attention to detail, pride in finished work, and the judgment to recognize and solve problems before they become scrap.
Experience That Will Get Our Attention
  • Tool and die, mold making, fixture, gage, prototype, or other precision tooling experience.
  • One-off and low-volume precision machining experience rather than only high-volume production work.
  • Experience improving programs, reducing cycle times, or developing repeatable setups for difficult parts.
  • Formal machining apprenticeship, technical training, or industry certification is a plus, but demonstrated skill and experience matter most.
Why Work With Us
  • Brand-new, climate-controlled facility designed for safety, comfort, and precision.
  • Modern CNC equipment, including advanced 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining capabilities across the operation.
  • Complex, skilled work where your programming ability and machining judgment matter.
  • Stable first-shift schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM, with optional overtime available.
  • Competitive pay of $32.00-$40.00+ per hour based on experience, plus overtime.
  • Low-cost health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) plan with profit sharing.
  • Opportunities to continue developing your programming, machining, and tooling skills.
  • A team-first culture where experienced machinists share knowledge and skilled people are trusted to contribute ideas.
  • More than 40 years of tooling experience and a long-term commitment to American manufacturing.
