Venteon Finance is currently seeking a Manager, Tax & Accounting for a growing local CPA firm in the Metro-Detroit area. We are seeking an experienced CPA that can oversee client engagements and support the continued growth of our firm. This role is ideal for a CPA with strong technical tax and accounting knowledge who enjoys working directly with business owners.
Requirements of the Manager, Tax & Accounting
- 5+ years of public accounting experience
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting
- CPA license required
- Strong experience with both individual and business tax returns
- Proven ability to review work and mentor or support staff
- Experience with multi-entity and flow-through taxation
- Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Hands-on experience with bookkeeping, general ledger, and close processes
- Experience with payroll tax filings and sales tax compliance (including multi-state)
- Proficiency in Quick Books and Microsoft Excel
- Manage and review business and individual tax returns
- Oversee financial statement preparation
- Review bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting services for business clients
- Assist clients with tax planning, business structuring, and advisory
- Support firm leadership with workflow management
- Identify opportunities for additional services with existing clients
