Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

Our firm has been engaged by a growing specialty service provider seeking a Controller who will lead the accounting function, and supervise a small team. Candidates should be strong accountants, and fully able to manage a monthly financial close as well as have experience working with an outside CPA firm for tax compliance or reporting. This is a hybrid position that reports directly to a terrific CFO that can help a capable candidate reach their full potential.

Desired base salary compensation is $130-$155k, plus annual cash bonus and great benefits. Our client would consider modest stretch for candidates with industry experience.

• Coordinate and execute the monthly and quarterly close process, including maintaining accurate working papers to support key account balances.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reporting packages.
• Review and when necessary prepare monthly journal entries and perform cost and trend analysis.
• Utilize technology like MS Excel, PowerPoint, and effectively use the ERP system Net Suite.
• Perform on the fly ad-hoc projects or other necessary duties are necessary to support the leadership team or operations.

• Bachelor’s degree or above required (Accounting or Finance)
• 6+ years of experience
• CPA designation is desirable but not required
• High attention to detail and organization
