Audit Staff Accountant

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Audit Staff Accountant to join our office in Troy, Michigan. This role is ideal for individuals pursuing a career in audit and assurance who are eager to work with a variety of clients across multiple industries. As a Staff Accountant in the audit department, you will assist with the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements while gaining valuable experience and mentorship.

• Assist in performing financial audits for a variety of clients including private companies, nonprofit organizations, and governmental entities
• Conduct testing of internal controls and substantive procedures in accordance with audit programs
• Prepare work papers and documentation in compliance with professional standards
• Analyze financial statements and identify potential issues or risks
• Work closely with senior auditors and managers to meet engagement objectives and timelines
• Assist with preparing audit reports and presenting findings to management
• Develop an understanding of client businesses and maintain professional relationships
• Stay updated on U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and relevant industry regulations
