Audit Staff Accountant Melo LLP

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Audit Staff Accountant  to join our office in Troy,Michigan. This role is ideal for individuals pursuing a career in audit and assurance who are eager to work with a variety of clients across multiple industries. Asa Staff Accountant  in the audit department, you will assist with the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements while gaining valuable experience and mentorship.

• Assist in performing financial audits for a variety of clients including private companies, nonprofit organizations, and governmentalentities
• Conduct testing of internal controls and substantive procedures in accordance with audit programs
• Prepare work papers and documentation in compliance with professional standards
• Analyze financial statements and identify potential issues orrisks
• Work closely with senior auditors and managers to meet engagement objectives and timelines
• Assist with preparing audit reports and presenting findings to management
• Develop an understanding of client businesses and maintain professional relationships
• Stay updated on U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and relevant industry regulations

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Actively pursuing CPAcertification or intent to pursue(preferred)
• 2+years of public accounting or audit experience (internship experienceaccepted)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and auditingstandards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g.,Quick Books, Case Ware, orsimilar)
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time‑management skills
