We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team in Troy, MI. This role requires someone who can project an image that reflects the professional nature of the work done by our firm while providing essential clerical and administrative support.

Essential Job Functions
  • Prepare and/or review for accuracy reports, documentation, general and/or legal correspondence and papers of a legal nature such as summonses, complaints, briefs, motions, interrogatories, agreements, and statements.
  • Accurately draft and/or write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Assist in meeting deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Provide clerical, administrative, and organizational support including but not limited to phone reception, providing information to callers, scanning, facsimile, e-filing transmittals, compilation of reports from established sources, photocopying, mail assembly and distribution, and other records/file maintenance.
  • Prioritize workload in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance technical skills.
  • Stay compliant with all firm policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and applications.
  • Interact with clients in a manner that supports excellent client service and relationships.
Preferred Experience & Knowledge
  • Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • Related experience is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of basic legal terminology.
  • Awareness of court filing requirements.
Skills / Knowledge / Education
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Ability to type 50 words per minute.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word (including styles and tables), Excel, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of basic office functions.
