Under general direction, the Associate Account Manager is responsible for claim phone support, including incoming and outgoing calls and assisting the Account Manager with projects and daily tasks. The AAM must communicate professionally, maintain good phone etiquette, and demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
Essential Duties and Functions- Claim intake via phone and status support
- Respond to all incoming telephone queries from customers in a timely and professional manner
- Multitask between various software programs
- Data entry
- Client invoicing
- Refund processing
- Administrative support for the team – scanning, check logging, report distribution, etc.
- Good communication and proficient phone skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Analytical thinking
- Adaptability to changing environment
- Planning and organizing, prioritizing work activities, using time efficiently
- Interpersonal skills, maintaining confidentiality, openness to ideas, willingness to try new things
- Oral communication: clear and persuasive in positive or negative situations
- Written communication: editing for spelling and grammar, presenting data, reading and interpreting written information
- Problem solving: identifying and resolving problems promptly, gathering and analyzing information, maintaining confidentiality
- Quality control: demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness, monitoring own work to ensure quality
- Adaptability: managing competing demands, dealing with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
- High school diploma or GED
- Exceptional telephone demeanor
- Proficient with MS Office
- Attendance, quality, and production must meet or exceed PFI standards
- Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar position
- Insurance or mortgage industry background
- Manual dexterity, arm, and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of keyboard, mouse, touch phone 7–8 hours per day
- Speech and hearing sufficient for in‑person and telephone communication 7–8 hours per day
- Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor
- Sedentary work; ability to sit at a desk 7–8 hours per day
- Repetitive motion
