Communication Event Coordinator
Full Time/Part-time Contract Position:
Communication Event Coordinator
Key responsibilities:
- Own daily ROIC Operations which include:
- Responsible for maintaining the ROIC and managing all events held in the ROIC to ensure a high-quality | high-touch experience for every visit; before during and after every event.
- All events should provide a high-quality | high-touch experience. From room setup, displays, vehicles, monitors, catering, etc.
- ROIC scheduling: keep online reservation tool up-to-date, maintain Innovation Center Web site, accurately manage incoming room requests and usage metrics
- ROIC promotion: market the capabilities through internal channels
- Manage inventory of items to support internal and customer events; set up check-out process for pop-up banners, table cloths, and other ROIC properties
- Assist with basic AV trouble-shooting; work with vendors and local facilities for maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Maintain and track budget for ROIC related operating expenses
- Partner with Internal Communications to support on-site activities, communications, and presentations for all employees
- Write, edit and publish content on relevant channels to communicate site alerts, events, and other information pertinent to employees on the Troy campus
- Develop content across multiple platforms including email, mobile apps, digital signage, and print
- Support the planning of campus events including community relations and fundraising, employee engagement events, and all-employee town hall meetings
- Collaborate across the segment and functional teams to develop a holistic view of opportunities for employee engagement at the Aptiv Technical Center in Troy
- Assist the global show team with trade, tech, and industry event coordination
Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):
- Experience and skills in scheduling and event coordination.
- 5 + years experience in operations management or event coordination
- Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) to interact well with people of various backgrounds, cultures, and senior leadership
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Power Point
- The ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal direction in a fast-paced/dynamic environment
Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):
- Hands-on experience in project management to meet deadlines and anticipate potential problems that may arise.
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with constraints that are often outside of your control
- Takes personal ownership and can work simultaneously on multiple projects to deliver project due dates and use metrics to measure success
- 10+ years of relevant experience - MBA.
