This role is responsible for leading commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout while maintaining excellence in safety, quality, schedule, financial performance, and client satisfaction.

Position Summary

The Construction Project Manager serves as a key leader responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and successfully delivering commercial construction projects. This individual will collaborate closely with owners, architects, engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects through all phases of development, including preconstruction, procurement, construction, commissioning, closeout, and warranty.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with field leadership and project teams.
  • Provide overall project leadership while ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards.
  • Lead project meetings, coordinate communication among stakeholders, and drive accountability across project teams.
  • Identify project risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in developing project budgets, forecasts, and cost‑control strategies.
  • Monitor project financial performance, including cost‑to‑complete forecasting, change orders, contingency management, and billing.
  • Coordinate with Accounting to ensure accurate invoicing, reporting, cash flow management, and project financial tracking.
  • Review and approve subcontractor invoices and pay applications.
  • Lead subcontractor prequalification, bidding, negotiation, scope development, and contract awards.
  • Manage subcontractor performance related to schedule, quality, safety, and contractual obligations.
  • Administer contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Resolve project challenges through proactive communication and collaborative problem‑solving.
Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, design professionals, consultants, and project stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships that foster repeat business and long‑term partnerships.
  • Communicate project status, risks, opportunities, and key milestones effectively.
  • Participate in client presentations, project pursuits, and business development initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Superintendents and project teams to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Mentor and support Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and other project staff.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to operational best practices, process improvements, and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.

  • Champion KIRCO's commitment to safety and quality on every project.
