Troy University Regional Recruiters are an essential element of the University’s Enrollment Management team. This role will be tasked with supporting Troy Campus traditional freshman and transfer student recruitment efforts in a defined geographic region by implementing recruiting strategies and activities that grow the number of students applying to, being admitted to, and ultimately choosing TROY for enrollment. Duties will include constant contact to prospective students and their families as well as establishing positive relationships with high schools, community colleges, and other sources of potential enrollments.
Regional recruiters reside in their assigned geographic areas, but will travel to Troy Campus several times a year for training and professional development activities. (All official travel is covered for reimbursement.)
- Support Troy Campus traditional freshman and transfer student recruitment efforts in a defined geographic region.
- Implement recruiting strategies and activities that grow the number of students applying to, being admitted to, and ultimately choosing TROY for enrollment.
- Maintain constant contact with prospective students and their families.
- Establish positive relationships with high schools, community colleges, and other sources of potential enrollments.
- Travel to Troy Campus several times a year for training and professional development activities. (All official travel is covered for reimbursement.)
- One year of recruiting and/or sales experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Must have transportation and a current driver’s license.
- Candidate must be able to meet and maintain auto insurance eligibility requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Master’s Degree.
- Extensive travel required, some of which may be overnight.
- Weekends and evening work will also be required.
- Frequently lifting and carrying items up to 20 lbs.
- Frequently traveling within the region.
- Frequently speaking and presenting to groups.
- Frequently sitting at a desk or workstation using a computer display, keyboard, and mouse.
- Driving is a primary responsibility. The position will require use of a personal vehicle, university vehicle, utility vehicle, or golf cart as needed.
