Title: Middle School Math Teacher
Status: Full-Time
Location: Troy Campus
Agape Christian Academy is seeking a passionate and Christ-centered educator to serve as the Middle School Math Teacher for the Upper Campus. This role provides a meaningful opportunity to shape students during a formative season of growth by combining rigorous mathematics instruction with intentional biblical discipleship. The teacher will guide students in developing mathematical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and a love for learning, while cultivating a classroom culture rooted in truth, grace, and Christlike character.
Select high school math courses may be assigned based on scheduling needs and teacher qualifications.
- Teach middle school mathematics courses, including but not limited to Math 6, Math 7, Pre‑Algebra, aligned with the school’s Christ-centered curriculum
- Integrate a biblical worldview into mathematical instruction and model Christlike character in teaching and classroom management
- Plan engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that support diverse learning styles and academic readiness levels
- Use formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust instruction to support mastery
- Provide additional support or enrichment as needed to help students grow in confidence and competence
- Teach select high school math courses (e.g., Algebra I, Consumer Math) if needed for scheduling or staffing purposes
- Foster a respectful, orderly, and encouraging classroom environment that reflects the love of Christ
- Lead students in devotions, prayer, and spiritual conversations that support discipleship and character formation
- Shepherd students with patience, clarity, and grace, addressing both academic and spiritual needs
- Partner with families to support student growth, maturity, and biblical worldview development
- Participate in staff devotions, faculty meetings, and professional development
- Assist in organizing Bible-related projects, historical simulations, cultural learning activities, and field trips
- Support school-wide events, including chapel, Parent Fellowship, Back-to-School Night, School Auction, Spring Banquet, and academic showcases
- Collaborate with middle and high school faculty to create interdisciplinary opportunities that connect Bible, history, and worldview formation
- A growing and evident personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Regular attendee of a doctrinally sound, Bible-believing local church
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; teaching license preferred
- Passion for Christian education and the discipleship of young adolescents
- Strong instructional skills and the ability to create a structured, nurturing classroom environment
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
- Prior teaching experience, especially in a Christian school setting
- Familiarity with biblically integrated curriculum models
- Experience teaching Algebra I or other entry-level high school math courses
- Serve in a gospel-centered community committed to academic excellence and spiritual formation
