Upper Elementary Teacher for the upcoming 26/27 School Year.
Crescent Academy serves over 500 students at grade level PreK-11. Job SummaryWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated 4th-6th Grade Elementary Teacher to join our team. The Elementary Teacher will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment for students. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to student development and a desire to foster a love for learning in young children.
Responsibilities- Develop and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans based on curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Develop assessments and monitor student performance through various methods, including tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in ongoing professional development initiatives.
- Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to contribute to the overall mission of the institution.
- Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students
- Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Supervision of multiple students at once
- Establishing routines and procedures
- Maintaining a safe and orderly environment
- Create and implement instructional plans
- Participate in continuous professional development
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Occasionally lift/move objects weighing up to 25lbs
- Stand and walk frequently
- Occasionally sit on the floor or bend down/squat
- Withstand all demands presented by outside weather conditions at any time of the year
- Withstand a moderate noise level
- Be able to perform first aid/CPR if necessary
- Assist/lift students, as necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
