The School of Business Administration seeks applications for temporary, part-time lecturer positions in the Department of Decision and Information Sciences on an as-needed basis. The department offers an undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), in which students can specialize in Business Analytics or Information Security Management. The department also offers a Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) and a Master of Science in Information Technology Management (MSITM).
In the MSITM program, students can choose from a general IT focus or Cybersecurity Analytics concentration. The department also offers Graduate Certificates in Business Analytics, Data Science, and Information Security Management. The department offers combined programs (bachelor/master) in Business Analytics as well as IT Management. In addition, the department offers courses in MIS and Business Analytics at the MBA/graduate level.
Lecturers are hired to teach both undergraduate and/or graduate courses depending on the candidate’s academic credentials.
This posting is to create a pool of interested applicants from which the Department may draw as sections become open at any point in the academic year. THIS POSTING IS NOT A GUARANTEE OF AN OPEN POSITION. Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed by the department chair when openings become available. Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, winter, and summer.
Minimum QualificationsMaster’s degree related to the discipline or subfield of the discipline in which the person will teach and/or develop curricula and/or supervise scholarly activity with extensive professional experience in the field.
