Roles involve a mix of age groups and needs:

  • 2 Elementary ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) self-contained classrooms
  • 1 Middle School/High School ASD self-contained classroom
  • 1 Cognitive Impairments self-contained classroom

    You’ll be challenged and rewarded as you work with exceptional students, many with mild to severe behaviors, in programs tailored for significant disabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching License (substitute certifications not accepted)
  • Willingness to work with a variety of mild to severe student behaviors
  • Emotional Impairments certification and/or Autism endorsement required
  • Bachelor’s degree with appropriate endorsement for HS Autism assignment
  • Open to enrolling in classes toward endorsement where required
  • Interest in travel and working in different educational settings

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized instruction and care in a self-contained classroom
  • Develop and implement IEPs for students across elementary, middle, or high school
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
  • Adapt teaching techniques for students with diverse needs
  • Support a positive, structured learning environment
