Embark on a fulfilling contract assignment supporting student mental health and success in a dynamic educational setting near Troy, MI. This onsite opportunity spans either 2030 hours per week and focuses on providing services within local elementary (across three buildings) or middle schools (across two buildings) for the upcoming school year.
Your expertise as a School Psychologist will make a tremendous impact by working directly with students, educators, and families to foster positive learning environments and address various developmental needs.
Preferred Experience &
Skills:
- Possession of (or eligibility for) the appropriate state licensure/certification as a School Psychologist
- Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Experience with comprehensive psycho educational evaluations
- Strong skills in consultation, intervention planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work effectively across multiple school sites
- Commitment to cultural competence and supporting diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, including cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional functioning
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to interpret evaluation results and recommend educational strategies
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and develop individualized support plans as needed
- Participate in IEP and student support meetings while maintaining thorough documentation
- Help develop and monitor progress on academic and behavioral interventions
- Support a safe and positive school climate for all students
