SummaryThe BMS Hardware / Electronics Engineer (Level
1) will support the design, development, testing, and validation of hardware and electronics for Battery Management Systems (BMS). This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with foundational knowledge in electrical/electronics engineering who are eager to gain hands-on experience in the energy storage, automotive, or renewable energy industries.
- Assist in the design, schematic capture, and layout review of printed circuit boards (PCBs) for BMS applications
- Perform basic circuit analysis, simulation, and validation under guidance of senior engineers
- Support testing and debugging of hardware prototypes, including data collection and documentation
- Conduct component selection and support sourcing efforts for BMS electronics
- Assist in hardware validation testing (bench testing, functional testing, environmental stress testing, etc.)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, systems, and mechanical engineers
- Document design changes, test results, and provide input into engineering reports
- Stay current with industry standards, safety practices, and emerging technologies related to BMS and electronics
- May require occasional travel to suppliers, test facilities, or manufacturing sites
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Required Skills:- Basic understanding of analog and digital electronics, circuit design, and embedded hardware fundamentals
- Familiarity with tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or similar schematic/layout software
- Knowledge of electrical measurements and use of lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies)
- Understanding of Li-ion battery fundamentals and power electronics (preferred but not required)
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction
0–2 years of relevant experience in electronics/hardware development (internship, co-op, or academic projects acceptable).
