Expleo Group USA is seeking an Interior Accessories Design & Release Engineer to join our client's team in Troy, MI. In this role, you’ll lead the design, development, and release of interior accessory components that enhance the customer experience. - Lead the design and release of interior accessory components from concept through production.
- Partner with brand planning and strategy teams to develop new feature ideas.
- Conduct feasibility studies with Interior Product teams, Vehicle Integration, and Product Design Office.
- Create Source Package documents and support purchasing teams in reviewing technical submissions from suppliers.
- Manage vehicle test and validation activities based on component and vehicle DVP plans.
- Host weekly engineering development meetings with suppliers and internal teams.
- Track and manage timing for suspension kits and other accessory components to ensure on‑time launch.
- Oversee releasing and changes of vehicle interior systems and body components.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in automotive engineering or interior accessory development.
- Strong understanding of part design process, manufacturing process, and material selection
. - Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
- Knowledge of plastic injection molded parts – design, manufacturing, and material selection.
- Experience with soft trim cut‑and‑sew materials and processes
. - Familiarity with Mopar processes and supplier development activities

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree required.

- Competitive Compensation – You choose the model that works best for you, both with company‑sponsored benefits! $85,000–$105,000 annually or $40–$50 per hour
, depending on your skills, experience, and location.
