VS (Vehicle component Solutions) Company () of LG Electronics focuses on commercializing environmentally responsible automotive components and core solutions based on LG’s proprietary technologies. A leading provider of core components for global car manufacturers, VS Company is supporting the emerging trend of the vehicle industry.

This job requires technical experience related to building cutting-edge product and development. This position requires being comfortable working with the manufacturing industry as well as high technology-driven products with LG and customers. This role is focused on developing a project and being deeply involved in technical requirements in the development and issue resolution. This job involves Customer & Tier company communication and development management to ensure strength and innovation in the LG automotive business.

This role will directly influence the integration project development across all LG and automotive manufacturers and requires confidence with identifying problems, communicating concerns and driving for closure in order to deliver the best development quality within the time frame while building trust and demonstrating excellent features implementation and problem resolving skills. This role must play nice with others, have a humble service mindset, and be a results-driven self-motivator.

Development

Engineer II Responsibilities
  • Resolve software and hardware issues, including direct communication with customers to address and close concerns
  • Perform root‑cause analysis on software and hardware problems and drive resolution
  • Test features on both vehicle and bench environments to validate performance
  • Lead feature development activities and act as the primary point of contact for customer feature communication
  • Manage OEM customer design requests and execute APQP activities, including coordination with third‑party solution providers
  • Identify and manage feature issues and generate weekly issue reports
  • Prepare and release weekly development progress reports to internal teams and customer engineers
  • Support cross‑functional teams including Validation, Manufacturing, Sales, Quality, Program Management, and customers
  • Collaborate with LGE HQ cross‑functional teams across various engineering and program areas
  • Assist multiple internal teams by providing technical input, coordination, and development support
  • Provide timely reporting on a weekly or daily basis, depending on project needs
  • Review issue analyses, feature specifications, schedules, FMEAs, and related documents with the Software/Hardware Project Leader
  • Submit critical items—including analysis results, issue lists, specification changes, and component changes—for managerial approval
  • Follow customer acceptance processes along with LG’s internal development processes
  • Ensure all work complies with LG and OEM development process requirements
  • Build strong, trust‑based customer relationships through proactive project and issue management
