VENTEON and Harvard Resource Solutions are hiring a Project Engineer for Conveyor Design to work in Troy, MI. Enjoy applying your talents in engineering for automotive manufacturing systems.

POSITION TYPE: Full Time. Onsite. Long Term Contract (8 months or more) that can lead to a direct hire position at project end. May consider direct hire for the correct individual. Onsite work environment. Pay is open based on degree and years of relevant work experience.

Requirements of the Project Engineer for Automotive Conveyors:

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering is highly preferred (BSME).
• Automotive experience needed.
• 5 or more years of experience as a Design Engineer that includes conveyor work.
• Strong experience with AutoCAD and/or Inventor.
• Effective communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Highly analytical and detail-oriented individual.
• Ability to identify and resolve technical issues related to conveyor design and functionality.

Duties of the Project Engineer for Automotive Conveyors:

• Perform design and engineering of conveyor systems for automotive customers.
• Perform engineering calculations for stress analysis, load capacity, system integrity, etc.
• Generate Bill of Materials (BOMs), work orders, and other documentation to support manufacturing and procurement.
• Check drawings, validate designs, and ensure all deliverables meet project specifications and standards.
• Interface with manufacturing and engineering. Attend program meetings.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, installation, and maintenance teams during the project lifecycle.
• Other general engineering tasks as needed.
