Troy, Michigan – NSQ5 SQE Fasteners and Consumables (#1056364)
Job DescriptionWe are looking for an energetic, organized, experienced Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) for Fasteners and Consumables to join our growing team. The SQE will support all aspects of Supplier Quality and performance, working closely with internal and external customers to ensure sourcing, quality, supplier development and timely delivery according to program milestones.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and administer the APQP process.
- Hold supplier(s) accountable to our Quality Requirements Manual.
- Develop and implement supplier partner KPI/scorecard.
- Implement actions to improve supplier accountability.
- Evaluate suppliers for production awards and overall supplier quality performance.
- Develop strong supplier relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders to support company objectives and core values.
- Engineering Degree or equivalent, or prior working level experience.
- 5+ years of Supplier Quality experience including site audits, continuous improvement, APQP, lean problem‑solving principles and leading a team by example.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Experience with varied components (stampings, extrusions, castings, plastics, etc.).
- Ability to identify process issues and drive improvements for operational efficiency and product quality.
- Strong working knowledge of value‑driven supplier KPI and scorecard development and implementation.
- Work directly with engineering and manufacturing regarding technical GD&T and drawing standards training and review.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- High level of integrity.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced start‑up environment.
