Packaging Engineer

Salary Range: $72,000 - $111,000

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for excelling in packaging engineer?

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize packaging solutions for new and existing products.
  • Select and validate appropriate packaging materials and components based on product requirements, cost, and sustainability.
  • Conduct comprehensive packaging performance testing and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and supply chain teams.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction and efficiency improvement opportunities in packaging.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for packaging equipment and issues on the production line.
  • Manage packaging projects from initial concept through to successful commercialization.
Recommended Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in packaging design, development, or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works) for packaging design and specification.
  • Strong understanding of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and ISTA testing standards.
  • Proven ability to optimize packaging for cost, performance, and sustainability.
Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience with sustainable packaging materials, design, and lifecycle assessment.
  • Familiarity with packaging automation equipment, robotics, or end‑of‑line machinery.
  • Certifications in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency in advanced CAD software (e.g., Solid Works PDM) or packaging simulation tools.
