VS (Vehicle component Solutions) Company () of LG Electronics focuses on commercializing environmentally responsible automotive components and core solutions based on LG's proprietary technologies. A leading provider of core components for global car manufacturers, VS Company is supporting the emerging trend of the vehicle industry.
As the Validation Engineer - CONTRACTOR, you will:
* Perform validation for telematics products by utilizing test benches and vehicles
* Responsible for executing basic Sanity, customer found issues, updated specification from customer and Full test cases for assigned sections
* Analyze test results to determine if product meet specifications
* Create/maintain test cases per product specifications
* Utilize tracking system to report and track product defects
* Test bench setup / SW updates
* Field Test / Joint field test with OEM
* OEM Support (Flashing modules/configuring environment/support drive tests/other requests as needed)
* Maintain relationships with overseas counterparts to effectively share information and resolve issues
* Support to resolve technical issues
* Support and communicate with R&D team, not only in North America but other regions such as Korea
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent
* Ability to travel up to 30% (domestic and international)
* Knowledge of:
* Test bench and vehicle setup
* Telematics systems technologies
* Specifications and ability to analyze test results
* Process on how to create test cases with the appropriate test case structure
* How to interface with the bug tracking system
* Vehicle communication protocols
* Ability to:
* Learn and adapt to new software and hardware tools and technologies
* Work across multiple disciplines (systems, embedded, server, wireless carriers, testing)
* Recognize and mitigate both technical and organizational challenges
* Sit and/or drive in a vehicle for testing up to 8 hours a day
* Desire to learn constantly and dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies
* Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail
* Excellent written and oral communication skills

* Background in computer science
