Senior Product Engineer

In this role the Senior Product Design Engineer is responsible for the creation of technical and detailed design drawings using CAD software for new product designs, strong focus on building relationships, and mentoring engineers.

• Solid understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to include life cycle testing.
• Experience with and overseeing projects, budgets, and vendors.
• Ability to grow relationships with Suppliers, Marketing, Customer Service, and Program Managers.
• Collaborate with Designers and Marketing to achieve new product goals.
• Create and translate Solid Works Models and drawings into complete ERP setup for new products.
• Create extensions and enhancements to existing product lines.
• Experience with cost savings.
• Ability to perform hand calculations, and FEA with multiple parts.
• Review existing patents.
• Process ECNs as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 7-10 years' experience in product design, preferably in furniture or automotive.
• Proven track record in product launch.
• Program Management experience.
• Solid understanding of FEA, including life cycle testing.
• Proficient in Solid Works, Auto Cad, and Corel Draw (preferred).
