Job Overview
As an Application Engineer, Project Management you’ll be part of our Stanley Engineered Fastening’s Automotive division working to support the Self‑Piercing Rivet (SPR) product line as an on‑site employee. The role supports new business development and ensures customer requirements are met through final implementation.
Responsibilities- Support new business development managers in evaluating customer‑specific applications.
- Participate in technical presentations to educate and train customers about SPR rivet joining capabilities and how to design products for use with these technologies.
- Work with customers to specify SPR equipment into their programs and ensure that customer requirements are met through final implementation.
- Ensure order entries are assigned and processed in a timely manner.
- Update and ensure the accuracy of BOMs for equipment products.
- Oversee engineering programs to ensure on‑time completion.
- Develop solutions using complete engineering analysis through digital virtual simulation.
- Apply engineering principles and lessons learned to every development process.
- Manage programs from concept to design buy‑off to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist, support and communicate with sales and marketing in product training and applications.
- Develop and maintain successful practices and guidelines for all joining and fastening processes.
- Participate in product development from inception through product release.
- Provide self‑piercing rivet product and process expertise.
- Manage large or critical projects and ensure timely completion.
- 4+ years of project management or related experience in project execution.
- Highly self‑motivated, customer advocate, innovative with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Experience in automotive or similar industries.
- Experience with automation products, robotics, or electro‑mechanical products preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
