Site Industrial and Machinery Design Engineer

• Engineer, design, define, and approve technical requirements and specifications of Adrian Plant manufacturing equipment, including molds, coquilles, Vertical Cooling Tower (VCT) nests, fixturing systems, finishing centers, automated assembly lines, helium leak testing stations, fuel tank assembly equipment, End of Line (EoL) inspection stations, and hat equipment, ensuring suppliers’ proposed designs meet manufacturability, capacity, safety, and quality standards.
• Participate in supplier selection and design reviews to evaluate process architecture, technical specifications, and performance criteria for equipment and manufacturing programs.
• Define and execute structured New Product Introduction (NPI) methodology for new manufacturing programs, including Design for Excellence (DfX), coordination of prototype tooling and build activities, process validation, performance testing, and implementation of Statistical Process Controls (SPC) in accordance with quality control plans (QCP).

Bachelor of Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.

At least twelve months of experience as an engineer or related professional, engineering and defining or approving technical requirements and specifications of plant manufacturing equipment such as VCT nests and fixturing systems, helium leak testing stations, and fuel tank assembly equipment, and ensuring suppliers’ proposed designs meet manufacturability, safety, and quality standards.
