SITE INDUSTRIAL MACHINERY DESIGN PROFESSIONAL - DUAL ROLE
Job title: Site Industrial and Machinery Design Engineer
Location: Adrian, MI, U.S.A., OPmobility C-Power USA, LLC.
Job duties: Engineer, design, define, and approve technical requirements and specifications of Adrian Plant manufacturing equipment including molds, coquilles, Vertical Cooling Tower (VCT) nests and fixturing systems, finishing centers, automated assembly lines, helium leak testing stations, fuel tank assembly equipment, End of Line (EoL) inspection stations, and hat equipment, and ensure suppliers’ proposed designs meet manufacturability, capacity, safety, quality standards. Participate in supplier selection and design reviews to evaluate process architecture, technical specifications, and performance criteria for equipment and manufacturing programs.
Define and execute structured New Product Introduction (NPI) methodology for new manufacturing programs, including Design for Excellence (DfX), coordination of prototype tooling and build activities, process validation, and performance testing, and ensure implementation of Statistical Process Controls (SPC) in accordance with quality control plans (QCP).
Education: Bachelor, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related.
Experience: Twelve months’ experience as Engineer or related, engineering and defining or approving technical requirements and specifications of plant manufacturing equipment including VCT nests and fixturing systems, helium leak testing stations, and fuel tank assembly equipment, and ensuring suppliers’ proposed designs meet manufacturability, safety, and quality standards, or related.
