Our client, a leader in electric vehicles is looking to hire a Validation Engineer to join their team. This will be fully onsite in Troy, MI.

* This job is a 1-year W2 contract role with benefits!*

As a Validation Engineer, you will develop and manage validation plans for vehicle hardware subsystems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring all systems meet performance targets through rigorous validation processes, collaborating closely with external testing vendors, engineering teams, and compliance groups to maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop and manage comprehensive validation plans for Interior and Exterior subsystems
• Create CAD designs for validation-specific tools, including fixtures and applicators
• Conduct research and benchmark system validation tests leveraging statistical analysis, and attribute vs. variable testing
• Work closely with external testing vendors to quote, source, and schedule validation testing in alignment with program budgets and timelines

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 1-5+ years of experience designing and testing mechanical systems for the automotive or related industry
• Working experience Microsoft Office & Google Workspace

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Familiarity with strength, fatigue, and cyclic durability testing
• Experience with AutoCAD or other similar modelling software
• Prior working knowledge of Jira strongly preferred!
