Automotive Glazing Systems Release Engineer (GM Programs)
Picture a typical week: you begin on‑site at a General Motors facility as Carlex’s SI3 DRE, reviewing a pre‑production build. After verifying tolerances on a fixed glass assembly, you huddle with the OEM body, interior trim, and electrical teams to finalize an interface change. Midweek, you’re back at a Carlex design center turning full‑solid CAD models into releasable 2D/3D data, facilitating a DFMEA session, and preparing a concise design review for the cross‑functional team.
By Friday, you’re at a designated test facility validating a door glass system against negotiated specs and documenting findings for the program team and OEM.
