Are you looking to work for a company that provides an innovative work environment, and your voice is heard? We have a position for a Senior Vehicle Software Debug Engineer to work onsite at our client in Van Buren Township, MI (this is a direct hire position).

What you will be doing:- Investigate and root cause software, hardware, and vehicle integration issues.
- Reproduce and debug customer and warranty-related concerns on vehicles, benches, and prototype hardware platforms.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret software logs, network traces, and diagnostic data to support software development teams.
- Perform ECU flashing, software updates, build validation, and recovery activities.
- Support software integration efforts across infotainment, connectivity, telematics, and vehicle systems.
- Analyze CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and diagnostic communications to identify system-level issues.
- Triage prototype hardware, bench setups, and breadboard environments to isolate faults.
- Work directly with software, hardware, validation, and systems engineering teams to determine root cause and corrective actions.
- Support issue tracking, change management, and ASPICE-compliant investigation activities.
- Participate in software build validation and verification activities throughout the development lifecycle.
- 5+ years of experience in automotive software integration, diagnostics, validation, or debugging.
- Strong experience performing ECU flashing, software updates, and module recovery activities.
- Hands-on experience collecting and analyzing software logs, diagnostic traces, and network traffic.
- Experience troubleshooting vehicle software issues at the component, subsystem, and vehicle level.
- Strong understanding of CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS, OBD, DoCAN, and automotive diagnostics.
- Experience with QNX and Android-based automotive platforms.
- Experience supporting infotainment, connectivity, telematics, instrument cluster, or body electronics systems.
- Experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy, NeoVI, or similar diagnostic tools.
- Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work directly with software developers and hardware engineers to investigate complex technical issues.
- Experience supporting infotainment or connected vehicle platforms.
- Experience with Android log collection, system diagnostics, and software integration activities.
- Experience troubleshooting prototype hardware, bench setups, or breadboard environments.
- OEM or Tier-1 automotive experience.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, or other electronic diagnostic equipment.
